The Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund (ARTF) donors on Friday approved of transferring out $280 million in ARTF funds to UNICEF and the World Food Programme (WFP), the World Bank said in a statement as this move is to provide humanitarian assistance to Afghan people.

UNICEF will receive $100 million to provide essential health services, and WFP will receive $180 million to scale up food security and nutrition operations in the country, according to the statement.
