More than 80 people are feared dead after at least 30 tornadoes slammed through six U.S. states. Professor Meng Zhiyong from the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences of the School of Physics at Peking University explains that spring tornadoes are due to highly unstable air and high low-level vertical wind shear.
