At least 100 people were feared dead in Kentucky after a swarm of tornadoes tore a 200-mile (about 322 kilometers) path through the U.S. Midwest and South, demolishing homes, leveling businesses and setting off a scramble to find survivors beneath the rubble, officials said on December 11. More than 100 people displaced by the Mayfield tornado have sought refuge in a church in Wingo, Kentucky. They shared stories of their frightening experience during and after the tornado.
