Los Angeles police are investigating reports of gunfire near the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where a tribute to legendary Mexican singer Vicente Fernandez was set up, according to CBS Los Angeles.

Fernandez, who was an icon in California's Mexican community and was known as the King of Ranchera music, died on Sunday at the age of 81.

There were no immediate reports of casualties.
