California to reimpose indoor mask mandate

The U.S. state of California is reimposing an indoor mask mandate that will apply to everyone as the U.S. nears 800,000 COVID-19 deaths and the Omicron variant spreads.
The new mask mandate is set to take effect on Wednesday and will expire on Janunary 15, California Health and Human Services Secretary Mark Ghaly said on Monday.
