Protests are continuing in Sudan, as demonstrators relentlessly reject military rule. The street marches were initiated in October following a military takeover, and Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdock was ousted. Hamdock returned to power last month under a deal to implement an independent technocratic cabinet, appointed under military oversight. But the deal has been rejected by pro-democracy movements. They're calling for a civilian government to lead the transition process. At least 44 people have been killed and hundreds injured since protests began.
