At least 13 people were injured and around 1,270 people were evacuated after a major fire broke out inside the World Trade Center in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at around noon on Wednesday, local media reported.
Per reports, all the people that got trapped have been rescued, and the injured have been sent to three hospitals. Previously, a media outlet reported that the injured included two elderly women.
The fire started at the shopping center and office tower complex in Wan Chai district at 12:37 p.m. and was upgraded to the third highest alarm level out of a five-tier system at 3:05 p.m.
Blaze was largely put out at around 4:30 p.m.
Local media said firemen used two jets and mobilized two breathing apparatus teams to fight the blaze.
