Five people, including an infant, were rescued from an apartment building fire in Tainan City, China's Taiwan region, on Wednesday afternoon, local media reported. 

Four of the rescued were sent to the hospital, including three with mild injuries. 

The blaze, which reportedly erupted from an apartment on the second floor of the five-story building, was brought under control at around 3:18 p.m. 

The cause of the incident is not immediately clear.
