Leslie Maasdorp, the CFO and vice president of New Development Bank, delivered a speech on Wednesday at the closing session of the International Forum on Democracy: Shared Human Values in Beijing.

In his speech, he gave a brief historical perspective on global institutions in the world over the last 75 years, talked about the drivers for what would be a reinvigoration or reinvention of these institutions under climate change, and discussed some of the elements that might need to be infused into this new contract.
