"2021 was a crucial juncture in China-Russia relations, and the two countries will now see development from an elevated starting point," Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng said on Wednesday after a virtual meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

Economic and trade cooperation between China and Russia is becoming more pragmatic to benefit both peoples, Le added.
