Hong Kong residents on Sunday will vote in their first legislative elections under the city's improved electoral system. Around 4.47 million people have registered to choose 90 lawmakers - 20 from geographical constituencies, 30 from socio-economic constituencies, and 40 from the Election Committee. Hong Kong's Chief Executive Carrie Lam said the city has worked to make sure voters know about the candidates and how to cast their ballots. She said Sunday's polls will feature broad representation, inclusiveness, and fair competition and that election reforms have put Hong Kong back on track. And with just days before the vote, candidates are hitting the campaign trail.
