UN: International migrants of 2020 make up 3.6% of world population

International Migrants Day falls on December 18 to raise awareness about the social and economic conditions as well as circumstances of migrants across the world. Data released by the UN shows that there were around 281 million international migrants in 2020, accounting for 3.6 percent of the global population.
