06:04

In both Chinese and Spanish, there are proverbs and sayings that reflect the wisdom of the people. In this new video series, "Mirror of Words," we will study together countless popular sayings in both languages.

"一花独放不是春,百花齐放春满园" is a beautiful Chinese proverb which means that one flower does not make spring and the only way to make it is to have all the flowers open. This ancient saying is understood as respect for cultural diversity, recognition of equity between peoples and the ties that bind them together. In Latin America, the same philosophy is advocated: "The only way to be nationally profitable is to be universally generous and passionate." In the third episode, we will learn these phrases and get to know the wisdom, the culture and the beautiful stories behind them.
