China has witnessed a growing interest in winter sports in the lead-up to Beijing 2022. The boom has even spread to its warmer, southern parts with the help of people like Yang Minran. The retired national ice hockey player is on a mission to promote the once unpopular sport in the "spring city" of Kunming. Yang says her goal is to help more people hit the ice and have fun from it.
