Thailand to propose reinstating mandatory quarantine over Omicron
Thailand's health ministry says it will propose reinstating mandatory quarantine for foreign visitors to stem the spread of the Omicron variant. This would mean scrapping the current waiver for vaccinated tourists and going back to mandatory hotel isolation upon arrival before free movement within a specific area. Thailand has so far detected more than 60 cases of the heavily mutated strain – reporting its first local infection on Monday. CGTN's Martin Lowe has more.
