Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said China and the U.S. should respect each other and explore ways to hold equal dialogues, at a symposium on the international situation and China's diplomacy in 2021. During the opening ceremony, he said that China is willing to talk, but the dialogue should be equal. China welcomes cooperation, but it should benefit both sides. China is also open to healthy competition and is not afraid of conflict, he said.
