Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday held a phone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which both expressed intent to further develop specially privileged strategic partnership relations between the two countries, the Kremlin said.

They also exchanged views on the international stability and security problems, including the situation in the Asia-Pacific.

The two have met in person in New Delhi earlier this month.
