China delivers latest humanitarian aid to Afghanistan's Kabul
Humanitarian aid from the Chinese Red Cross Society to the Afghan Red Crescent society arrived in Kabul on December 21. It's the latest assistance extended by China to Afghanistan. Over 10 million yuan (about $1,569,514) worth of medical, livelihood and educational supplies was handed over to the Red Crescent. In remarks after the turnover ceremonies, Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan Wang Yu said the United States's 20-year occupation of Afghanistan has led to a humanitarian disaster and that the U.S. should take steps to release Kabul's assets and lift sanctions for recovery in the war-torn country to proceed.
