The EU and Britain reached an agreement on fishing grounds for 2022 on Tuesday, after extensive consultations, the European Commission has said in a statement.

The deal "covers all shared and jointly managed fisheries in EU-British waters and is based on (the) best available scientific advice," EU fishing commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius said Wednesday on Twitter.
