After provoking a furious response from Chinese netizens, Intel apologized for telling its suppliers not to source products or labor from China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on December 23.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said Intel should not base its decisions on false accusations.
