China's top legislature on Friday expressed resolute opposition to the signing of the "Uygur Forced Labor Prevention Act" into law in the United States.

The new law fabricates the "forced labor" issue in China's Xinjiang and grossly interferes in China's internal affairs under the pretext of human rights, said a statement issued by the Foreign Affairs Committee of China's National People's Congress.

Meanwhile, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Friday expressed strong indignation at and opposition to the signing of the act into law.

The Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPPCC National Committee said in a statement that the act grossly interfered in China's internal affairs and seriously violated basic norms governing international relations.
