Economic sanctions on Russia were first imposed in July 2014 in response to its destabilizing actions in Ukraine, and the European Council prolonged them again this July, until the end of January 2022. Zlatko Hadzidedic, director of the Center for Nationalism Studies in Sarajevo, Bosnia, shared his insights on the economic impact of the sanctions on Russia with CGTN.
