The South Korean government has decided to pardon ex-president Park Geun-hye, who is imprisoned over corruption charges, Justice Minister Park Beom-kye announced on Friday. Park began serving a 22-year prison sentence in March 2017 after being impeached and removed from office over far-reaching corruption charges and an influence-peddling scandal.
