China's Ministry of Education has guided local education authorities to take targeted measures to ensure the safety of exam participants. The ministry said emergency plans have been made to make sure students can take the test locally. More test centers have been set up, including at quarantine sites and even at hospitals for those who are currently under COVID-19 treatment. 

A total of 4.57 million students are sitting for the national postgraduate entrance exam from today to Monday. There are 800,000 more than last year, an increase of one-fifth.
