Formula 1 concluded its 2021 season as Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing won the world title this year. Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes was one race away from defending his eighth championship title. The rivalry between Red Bull Racing and Mercedes featured in most of the year's 22 races.
Sebastian Vettel of Aston Martin, Fernando Alonso of Alpine and Kimi Raikkonen of Alfa Romeo Racing were the top three drivers in overtakes, with 132, 128 and 127, respectively,
