It's only been a month since the WHO called Omicron a variant of concern. Now the surging COVID cases are overshadowing Christmas celebrations in many parts of the world. But some studies say Omicron may not be as severe as Delta. There are also expectations that the pandemic could end next year. CGTN's Global Watch has spoken to Dr. Bob Arnot. He is an epidemic disease expert based in Vermont. Dr. Arnot said that our immunity wanes in 4-6 months, and can be vulnerable to one strain and many more after it.
