China-U.S. relations worsened during the Trump administration. However, there's a hope of improvement with President Joe Biden now in office. And Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping even held a virtual meeting last month. How to evaluate the relations between these two major powers, now and looking to the future? CGTN's Global Watch is joined by Professor Teng Jianqun from the China Institute of International Studies on the subject. Teng is also the director of the Research Center for Arms Control and International Security Studies and Secretary-General of the Research Center for China-U.S. Relations. Professor Teng said that after the virtual meeting, China and the U.S. should have realized the common ground of maintaining stable relationships for the sake of the two nations and regional security.
