Malaysia lifts travel ban on southern African countries

Malaysia has lifted a travel ban on eight southern African countries, given increases of Omicron variant cases in other nations, Reuters reported citing the country's Health minister.
It added that no mass celebration is allowed for New Year and COVID-19 tests are required for private gatherings.
