Reliefs of Six Galloping Steeds

The six war horses went through thick and thin with Emperor Taizong (598-649) who would eventually inaugurate one of the most glorious reigns in Chinese history.

In order to commemorate his trusty four-legged friends, Emperor Taizong commissioned Yan Lide and Yan Liben to carve the images of the six horses in stone.
