Russia will seek security guarantees from the U.S. at the talks in Geneva on January 10, Sputnik reported, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Spokesperson Maria Zakharova told reporters on Thursday that the talks are scheduled for January 10 and that there are no alternatives to this date.

She said the Russian and U.S. delegations will be led by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov and First Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman, respectively.
