Philippines confirms first 3 local cases of Omicron variant

The Philippines has confirmed its first 3 local cases of the Omicron COVID-19 variant, acting presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles said on Friday.
He added that the country will tighten coronavirus curbing measures from January 3 to 15.
