China has set out on a new journey of building a modern socialist country in all respects, embarking on the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, President Xi Jinping said on Friday.

Over the past century, the Communist Party of China (CPC) has led hundreds of millions of people to overcome obstacles and challenges and scored "spectacular and epoch-making achievements," Xi said in his 2022 New Year Address through China Media Group and the internet.

At the historical convergence of the "Two Centenary Goals," Xi called for a vigorous and determined endeavor to accomplish the CPC's great mission and live up to the people's expectations.
