The U.S. set a new record high of over 640,000 daily COVID-19 cases on Friday, according to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University. A total of 647,067 new cases and 1,409 new deaths were reported across the nation.
Portugal registered 30,829 new COVID-19 infections within 24 hours on Friday, a new high since the beginning of the pandemic, bringing its total number of infections to 1,389,646.
