3 people missing, nearly 1,000 homes destroyed in Colorado wildfire
00:54

Overnight snow finally extinguished the most destructive wildfires in Colorado history, which erupted quickly on Thursday due to dry conditions and hurricane-force winds. Nearly 1,000 homes have been destroyed, and three people are missing and presumed dead, a local official has said.

The fire has burned through more than 6,000 acres in a suburban area between Denver and Boulder, forcing the evacuation of more than 30,000 people and leaving piles of ash and rubble where hundreds of homes once stood. Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
