Gu sealed the deal with her second attempt, scoring 92.80 points. She won the first final of women's halfpipe two days ago with 96.80.

Within a month, Gu has pocketed five gold medals in total, starting with World Cup big air title in Steamboat, then onto a whirlwind campaign in the halfpipe event at World Cup series in Copper Mountain and Dew Tour, followed by a brilliant finish of 2021 two days ago in Calgary.

China's Zhang Kexin and Li Fanghui finished 5th and 7th in Saturday's final. Rachael Karker of Canada won the silver medal, 3.40 points short of Gu. Hanna Faulhaber won third place.

With Beijing 2022 just around the corner, Gu is keeping her momentum at the best level to chase her Olympic dream.
