The Chinese mainland recorded 191 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday, with 131 linked to local transmissions and 60 from overseas, data from the National Health Commission showed on Sunday.

A total of 52 new asymptomatic cases were also recorded, and 550 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

Confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland now total 102,505, with the death toll remaining unchanged at 4,636 since January 2021.

The latest tally of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 12,667 (12,209 recoveries, 213 deaths)

Macao: 79 (77 recoveries)

Taiwan: 17,050 (13,742 recoveries, 850 deaths)
