Ice fishing in full swing in northeast China's Chagan Lake

Chagan Lake in northeast China's Jilin Province has long been known as the premier destination for ice fishing. An ancient fishing method handed down for centuries is going strong. The traditional custom has enriched both the cultural heritage and the local people. For the past 15 years, the local government has being holding the winter ice fishing festival to attract tourists. Every year, millions of tourists visit the lake to watch the amazing scene. Ice fishing in Chagan Lake runs from December to February.
