The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) is expected to bolster trade in goods and services and investment among its members. In 10 years, 90 percent of goods traded are expected to enjoy zero tariffs. For now, more than 65 percent of the goods exported to China from ASEAN countries, Australia and New Zealand enjoy the zero-tariff policy. It's the first time China and Japan have established free trade relations. Twenty-five percent of Japanese goods exported to China now face no tariffs.
