According to projections from multiple travel apps, people prefer short trips. Cross-city or cross-provincial travel remained less popular. Most travelers would like to stay close to their homes,  mainly because of COVID-19 travel restrictions. The top destinations include Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Chengdu, and Guangzhou.
