Japan has imposed a quasi-state of emergency in three prefectures, Okinawa, Yamaguchi and Hiroshima. The decision was made amid a surge of COVID-19 cases at U.S. military bases in the regions, driven by the Omicron variant. Phoebe Amoroso reports.
