China and Kuwait have agreed to work on a bilateral five-year cooperation plan. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a meeting with his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah in east China's Jiangsu Province. The two sides reached agreement on cooperation in agriculture, 5G communications and other high-tech areas. They reached consensus on pandemic control and cultural exchanges. Sheikh Ahmed thanked China for its long-term support and assistance to Kuwait, reiterating their support as the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games approach.
