Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Secretary General Stanislav Zas on Wednesday.

Tokayev expressed gratitude to CSTO for its timely assistance and peacekeeping operations during the latest unrest in Kazakhstan. 

Zas said the contigent will withdraw in an orderly manner at the president's request.
