South Korea on Friday decided to extend COVID-19 social-distancing rules, set to end on Sunday, for three more weeks amid the spike in Omicron infections.

The government decided to raise the private gathering size limit to six while keeping a 9 p.m. curfew on restaurants and cafes for the next three weeks, Yonhap news agency reported on Friday.
