9 sentenced for rioting near Hong Kong university in 2019

A Hong Kong court has sentenced seven defendants to terms of imprisonment ranging from 38 to 40 months and two to a correctional institution for young offenders for rioting near the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) in November 2019.

The district court in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) last November found the nine guilty of rioting in the vicinity of the PolyU.
