The second national children's painting exhibition— "Children Welcome Winter Olympics" opened at the China Women and Children's Museum in Beijing on Friday. More than 300 representatives were selected from 2022 artworks which are displayed in four chapters with different subjects: My childhood Winter Olympics dream, dexterous hand paintings, Winter Olympics welcome Spring Jubilation and Forging ahead to the future hand in hand.

The exhibition attracted the participation of nearly 300,000 children from 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across the country, including children from special education schools, who painted their dreams and expressed their expectations for the upcoming Winter Olympics.

The exhibition aims to build a platform to promote the knowledge of the Winter Olympics, popularize the Olympic culture and carry forward the Olympic spirit, said Kou Huping, exective deputy director of China Women and Children's Museum. It aims to let the children feel the charm of ice and snow culture and encourage them to pursue their dreams, Kou added.

The exhibition will last until March 15 this year, during which many Winter Olympics ice and snow experiences and related practical activities will be carried out.
