A composite image captured by the Fengyun-4B (FY-4B) satellite shows a cloud cluster mainly composed of acid gas, such as sulfide dioxide, is heading west and affecting Australia.

Launched on June 3, 2021, the FY-4B, China's new-generation meteorological satellite in geostationary orbit, is being used in the fields of weather analysis and forecasting, and environmental and disaster monitoring.
