It's been reported that British intelligence planted its people in Huawei only to find that the company is not a national security threat. Moreover, Vince Cable, the UK's former business and industry minister, said that the UK ban on Huawei 5G was due to American pressure. Under the coercive diplomacy of the U.S., the UK has not only lost its independence on decision-making, but also has to bear the consequences of lagging behind on 5G development.
