In an exclusive interview with CGTN, Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov said there will be "very fierce competition" between Chinese and Russian athletes at the upcoming Beijing Winter Olympics, at least in some particular events.
"But this is the athletic contest that everyone is happy to see, because it can boost everyone's interest in sporting events," he said.
