U.S. and Japan agree to boost economic and trade ties

U.S. President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida agreed in a virtual meeting on Friday to boost cooperation on pressing economic issues including export controls, supply chains and technology investments. During the virtual meeting, the two leaders expressed a desire for the "swift resolution" of trade issues.
