Chinese researchers have cracked a worldwide hard-nut problem in genetic wheat breeding, a milestone achievement made by a team led by Ye Xingguo, a researcher from the Institute of Crop Sciences under the Chinese Academy of Agriculture Sciences. The breakthrough was published on January 13 in Nature Plants, an influential scientific journal.
